We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer / BI Engineer to support the development and maintenance of Exasol’s internal data infrastructure and reporting solutions. In this role, you will work independently to design dashboards, reports, and data pipelines that empower stakeholders across the organization to make data-driven decisions.
You will collaborate with different teams to understand their reporting needs and transform data into meaningful insights while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of our internal data systems.
🎯 Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize reporting solutions and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Develop and maintain data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, reliability, and accessibility
Design and implement data pipelines using modern orchestration tools
Create and maintain data models that support business intelligence and reporting needs
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights
Ensure best practices in data governance, modeling, and performance optimization
âś… Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with data, analytics, or business intelligence
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and performance optimization
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
Experience with Python or similar programming languages for data processing
Strong knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts
Experience with ETL / data pipeline tools such as Airflow, dbt-core, or Fivetran
Familiarity with CI/CD practices (GitHub CI or similar)
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience working with the Exasol database
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with Astronomer for workflow orchestration
