Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to oversee the administration, customization, and integration of Atlassian applications. This role is responsible for optimizing workflows, supporting users, and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, and technical support within agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and optimize Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Access
- Manage user permissions, access controls, and overall user management within the Atlassian suite
- Customize Atlassian applications to fit organizational workflows and processes
- Implement and maintain integrations between Atlassian tools and other systems (e.g., Salesforce, GitHub)Develop automations to enhance operational efficiency
- Oversee the full application lifecycle, including planning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, and business units, to define requirements and align with organizational goals
- Partner with IT operations teams to streamline processes and foster knowledge sharing
- Provide expert-level user support, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve challenges
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting guides
- Keep the knowledge base current and develop best practices for incident and problem managementDeliver on-demand training to business units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in application management, including planning, deployment, and ongoing support
- Hands-on experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Access)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least 3 years of professional experience
- Strong understanding of ITIL practices and agile methodologies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in small, agile organizationsFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy) for automation
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-420, ACP-120)
- Proficiency in German (speaking and reading)
